Pupils of pre-kindergarten through 8th level can be determined as young learners. Creating teaching note for young learners should be imaginative in deciding the learning practices because of their characteristics. It is beneficial for teacher to know the characteristics of young learners before designing the lesson plan for them. Wendy A. Scott and Lisbeth H. Ytreberg explain the characteristics of young learners. Here we will discuss it in related to the class concept.

First, Young learners like to participate and physically active. That is why teachers have to design the practices which involve the students to participate for example: desigining a task in group or individually, for instance interesting quizes which involved the physical practices. Second, young learners are happy to play. They study well when they are enjoying themselves. In related in playing, we now have many improvements in teaching Math strategy for children through games or even the colorful and entertaining worksheet design. It is easy to search where we can find the fun Math worksheet on the online resources. Third, young learners cannot focus for a long time. Teacher should have a great mannerin dividing teaching time from the beginning till the end of the class. Young learners are happier with different materials and they cannot remember things for a long time if it is not repeated. So keep repeating the lesson with different fun ways.

Five, seven or twelve years old Pupils will grow as thinkers who can be believable and take responsibility for class practices and routines. They will also study how to play and organize the best way to maintain an activity, task with others and study from others. Moreover, young Pupils still depend on teacher.
